This 12 days tour will take you across the strengths of northern Laos. Cottages and guest houses are generally very comfortable with modern amenities (private bathroom, hot water). Breathtaking sceneries of the flora and fauna and interact with the different tribes of Northern Laos such as the Hmong, ThaiLu, Khmu, ..

This trip in motorbike in Top North Laos is a combination of the famous Nongkiaw riding to the Chinese border to visit Luang Namtha. We'll be riding Honda 250cc motorcycles, XR from Honda or CRF-L Honda 2012 models as they are durable for the changing conditions we'll ride. Each bike will be custom set for your weight and height - you can even name it for the time you are together. Unforgettable experience!!

Destinations: Luang Prabang - Xieng Muark - Nong Kiaw - Muang Khoua - Luang Namtha - Muang Sin - Vieng Phuka - Nale - Pakbeng - Sayabury - Hong Sa

Day 1: Luang Prabang - Xieng Muark (Off-road 70% – approx. 150 kms)

  • - Off-road riding along the Mekong River, great single track.
  • - Relax and overnight in wooden bungalows with swimming pool.

Day 2: Xieng Muark - Nongkiaw (Off-road 70% – approx.180 kms)

  • - Off-road riding to remote villages – Hmong’s trail experience.
  • - Overnight in local bungalow on the Nam Ou River.

Day 3: Nong Kiaw - Muang Khoua (Off-road 90% – approx. 100 kms)

  • - Great Off-road around thousand mountains valley, single track, Hmong area experience riding.
  • - Overnight in local Guest-house, not much choice up there.

Day 4: Muang Khoua - Luang Namtha (Off-road 80% – approx. 120 kms) 

  • - Akha trail riding following the Chinese border.
  • - Enjoy massage at destination.
  • - Overnight in cozy red bricks guest-house.

Day 5: Luang Namtha - Muang Sin (Off-road 0% – approx.140 kms - easy ride day)

  • - Lao-Chinese town at the Chinese border to reach by a fantastic road ride.
  • - Boten visits at Chinese border (old casino area at the border).
  • - Overnight in wooden bungalows at Muang Sin: hotspot where money is the new drug of choice.
  • - Don't be put off by the rush, your explorations of the surrounding countryside will be worth the trouble.
  • - Overnight in a clean hotel in town.

Day 6: Muang Sin - Vieng Phuka (Off-road 70% – approx.160 kms)

  • - Hmong trail to remote forest ride. Unforgettable ride.
  • - Overnight in local guest-house, not much choice up there.

Day 7: Vieng Phuka - Nale (Off-road 80% – approx.110 kms)

  • - Visit charming local fisherman village, enjoy discover Nale village, Bat cave visits on the top of ridges.
  • - Overnight in local guest-house, not much choice up there.

Day 8: Nale - Pakbeng (Off-road 50% – approx.110 kms)

  • - Stone Age ride, costumed hill tribes.
  • - Nice ride from mountains to Mekong River.
  • - Half day Speed boat ride on the Mekong River for everyone, picnic lunch during the boat trip.
  • - Overnight in nice hotel/lodge, enjoy the fantastic view on Mekong River from the restaurant.

Day 9: Pakbeng - Hongsa (Off-road 20% – approx.100 kms + 52 kms)

  • - Off-road. Crossing Mekong River on local ferry.
  • - Have lunch at Thailand border.
  • - In the afternoon you will enjoy a 26 kms ride down hill to the Mekong River for a bath in the River.
  • - Overnight in local & clean guest-house.

Day 10: Hongsa - Sayabury (Off-road 70% – approx.140 kms)

  • - Fantastic remote Off-road.
  • - Top view at 1,600m high mountains following Thailand border.
  • - Enjoy an elephant interaction or massage at destination.
  • - Overnight in elephant conservation center overnight in wooden bungalow.

Day 11: Sayabury - Hongsa (Off-road 80% – approx. 90 kms)

  • - Half day with the Elephants at the Elephant Conservation Center of Sayabury.
  • - Start to ride from beginning afternoon by a On-road.
  • - Overnight in a local & clean guest-house.
